The ‘60s and ’70s were a golden age of creativity. From the peak of magazine distribution to the rise of accessible movie cameras, people were suddenly exposed to more entertainment—and more freedom—than ever before. We look back on that era with a deep sense of nostalgia, because today’s digital world has replaced the anticipation and joy of discovery that came with physical media.
Inspired by the wild, unpredictable charm of classified ads from that time, we began creating a new series that reimagines those ads by incorporating our own photography into them. It’s our way of introducing a new audience to an experience that has quietly faded away.
While these ads have appeared on our clothing in the past, we are thrilled that—for the very first time—they are now available as standalone art prints.
